Hi Hema, I read “Saki” yesterday. Every sentence in the book is gold! It moved me. Your fine understanding of sensitive emotions of a woman made me think! It is definitely a turning point of my thoughts for future regards kids, their life and how our life will be few years down the lane. Bharathi is such a strong character! I read a few parts again and again. It’s a soothing and feel good novel. Very heavy emotions but that is the truth of life as I look back how much I have come so far. Living like Bharathi for the sake of kids and still having no expectations on kids is just so poise and and deeply moving. An eye-opener for me! If someone would have told this to me, I would have argued back. The way you narrated the incidents and the way you unfolded the thoughts behind it was so natural and agreeable! My words don’t really justify the way you had put this story together! I am sure I will read this story many times! Deeply moving! Such strong writing! More power to you Hema! Keep writing!

Just read your சகி on kindle. Amazing Hema. Very good plot.  Verrry relevant for today. You have captured the feelings of people nearing or on the other side of 50. Seriously it is a very tricky age as you slowly get into the empty nest syndrome and as your kids don’t depend much on u you suddenly have so much time and don’t know what to do with life

Enjoyed it thoroughly. Especially your take on the IMAGE our society has created for the word AMMA. Very true. Once again a good read which touches your soul.

எப்போ படிக்கலாம் என காத்து இருந்தேன்.

படிக்க படிக்க காரணமே இல்லாது கண் கலங்கியது. ஒவ்வொரு பருவத்திலும் ஒவ்வொரு கருத்து நமக்கு இருக்கும். மாறிக் கொண்டே இருக்கும் நமது மனம். என் இப்போதைய மன நிலையில் இந்த கதை அத்தனை பிடித்து இருக்கு.

தனிமை என்பது ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் தனிப்பட்ட ரசனை. தேவைப் படும் போது கிடைப்பதில்லை. கிடைக்கும் போது நம் மனம் வேறு எதையோ எதிர் பார்க்கிறது. முதுமையின் வயது எது?நாற்பதா? ஐம்பதா? அதற்கு மேலா? அதற்கு பின் வாழ்க்கை இல்லையா? தியாக உள்ளத்துடன் தனிமையில் இருந்து இறப்பு வரை வாழ வேண்டுமா?

அம்மாவுக்கு இன்னொரு vவாழ்க்கை அமைத்து கொடுக்கும் செய்திகள் இப்போது நாம் பரவலாகப் பார்க்கிறோம். முதியோர் இல்லங்களில் சேரும் பலர் தங்கள் இணையை தேர்ந்து எடுப்பதையும் பார்க்கிறோம். அந்த செய்திகளில் வரும் பின்னூட்டங்ளையும் கவனிக்கிறோம். எத்தனை வக்கிரங்கள்? இத்தனை அசிங்கங்களை சுமந்து தான் இந்த தலைமுறை திரிகிறார்களா? அடுத்த தலைமறை வாழ்த்து சொல்வது ஆறுதல். பாரதி ராம் இருவரும் மனக் கண்ணில் வந்து போகிறார்கள். பாரதியின் மன நிலையும் அவளின் எண்ணங்களும் அப்படியே அவளை கட்டி பிடிச்சுக்கணும் போலிருக்கு.

காலம் சரியான நேரத்தில் சரியான மனிதர்களை அறிமுகப்படுத்துவதில்லை.எப்போதாவது சரியான மனிதர்களை சந்திக்க நேர்ந்தால் அது வரம்.

அந்த நாலு பேர் யாரு, நான் கேக்கறது உன்னோட முடிவு என்னனு தான். இது வெறும் டிக்ளரேஷன் மட்டும் தான்,அவங்களுக்கும் இது not an easy process னு சொல்றதுன்னு வழி நெடுக்க அழகான நெறய விஷயங்கள்.

என் கிட்ட சந்தோஷத்தை பகிர்ந்துக்க கூட யாரும் ரெடி இல்ல. எனக்கு வலிக்கும்னு நான் சொல்ல கூடாதா இப்படி பாரதி கேக்கும் சொல்லும் பல விஷயங்கள் வயசு வித்தியாசம் இல்லாம இங்க நெறய பேருக்கு இருக்க கேள்விகள் தான்.

சொல் அல்ல செயல் னு ஒரு புக்ல , அவர் போன பிறகு தான் எனக்குன்னு நேரம் கிடைச்சது, அதான் ஊர் சுத்தறேன்னு அந்த அம்மா சொன்னதை அப்படியே உடனே ஏத்துக்க என் இந்திய ஆண் மனம் தயாரா இருக்கலன்னு ஒரு லைன் வரும். அப்படி உடனே எல்லாம் பாரதி அண்ட் ராமை எல்லாரும் சரின்னும் கிரேட்னும் எடுத்துக்கணும்னு இல்ல. கவின், அருண் அருணான்னு எல்லா விதமான ரியாக்ஷன்களும் இருக்கும் தான்னு புரிஞ்சுக்க முடிஞ்சது.
